Fitted example of the Kustom Bitz AussieSpeed range of old skool sand cast alloy performance products. Shown here is one of the 14" airliner range of air cleaners with a 3" element, and a pair of tall finned aussiespeed valve covers fitted to a 351 Ford windsor V8 engine. I love my Windsor engines and this just looks so cool to me, its the ducks guts in my book. Tallest fins you will ever find.
Here is a fitted example of one of our Kustom Bitz accelerator cable brackets installed on a Ford 289 Windsor powered Mustang. This is the under carby type with a pull from the back accelerator cable. Simple, light weight, compact and strong, in other words they just work. I this instance the accelerator cable is the Lokar Products brand. Carbie is a 4 barrel 600cfm vac sec Holley.
The bonnet on a Morris J Type use dzues style fasteners, so it comes completely off. They can be problematic, the paint chips around them and not to mention if the bonnet falls over and dents while its off. So Kustom Bitz has, as part of our restoration of this old J type, made the bonnet hindge. A custom made bonnet frame was made and the original bonnet skin was repaired and attached to our new bonnet frame. This also meant a custom lower front panel had to be made also because of the bonnet shape, to allow it to open into a slight recess. More pics can be found by following our Facebook page.
Here is a custom brake pedal conversion Kustom Bitz did on this 1949 - 50 model Ford Mercury brake pedal pivot to enable the stock brake pedal to push backwards to an underfloor mounted 8" brake booster and master cylinder for a 4 wheel disc brake conversion. It uses proper soft metal bushes and an adjustable push rod and clevis, and it uses the stock Ford mounting holes in the chassis.
Kustom Bitz is currently restoring and modifiying a 1958 Morris J Type delivery van. Shown here is the wooden buck I made to be able to repair and shape the existing mud guard piece and widen it a little for fat tyres. This mud guard has had more hits than the Beetles but I managed to work it back into shape so it can be used again. You just can't buy good guards for this model so that requires us to go the extra mile to make a properly fitting front pair of mud guards. To watch the build progress follow Kustom Bitz on Facebook. Shown here is a 4 bar brackets I have designed to locate a 9inch diff with coil over shocks on the rear end of a lowered 1969 - 72 model F100. I use big rubber bushes oversize 4 bar tubes and utilise the leaf spring forward mounts to keep chassis modifications limited to the rear end notch for diff clearance. I will post some more pics of the finished set up soon, it has worked a treat. Kustom Bitz can custom make 4 bars to suit any application. All custom work is done at an hourly rate.
