AA Truck chassis - Model A extra cab 4 doors
AA Truck chassis based hot rod. Model A Ford AA truck chassis. This extended cab 29 Model A is sitting on an original pair of rails from a 1929 Ford AA Truck. Trying to do this length vehicle on original Model A rails is not possible becasue they are too weak. The truck rails are a good 6" in depth and a thick guage, where as the motor car version of the model A are 4" deep at best and much lighter guage steel.
I can use an orginal pair of rails or I can build these from scratch using laser cut steel. This particular example runs one of my custom IFS units utilising Rod Shop A arms and wilwood stubs and disc brakes. The rear end is Jag and as you can see it sits really low, this is all allowed for in the chassis design. I can make the wheel base what ever you want, in this case the owner and I worked on the proportions of the car until it looked right.

This is a good example of how you can take your dream car out of your head and into a real thing. It is not for the faint hearted though, there is more work in something like this than anything else you could do, so you need to be committed and well funded over the long term, because it takes a ton of hours. Do you have the vision, the passion and the tenacity to build something like this? I can build the chassis and the body if you like.
You can find more pics on this build on our Facebook page, click on this link below to take you there.
