Product Description
Door cards and upholstery trim panels by Kustom Bitz VIC

Car upholstery trim panel bases can be made from Alloy or steel for better durability, or where a basic masonite card will not work due to door modifications.

In the example pics you see here the new door latches and electric windows and mechs made the door alot thicker than original. I could have spent time remaking/altering the door frames so a flat upholstery card would work, or I could spend a similar time making these wrap around door cards that the upholstery can be glued to, or mounted on.

The door cards are made in aluminium to keep the weight down as the doors were heavy enough stock, let alone with all the modern gear in them.  The back panels and arm rest next to the rear seat I formed in mild steel.  The wood tops on the arm rests, bolt to the arm rest frame, so they can have foam and trim wrapped around them to suit any style once at the upholstery shop.

I also made the rear firewall/seat back to separate the boot compartment from the cabin and I made the floor base to clear the chassis mods for the jag rear end.

If you have a keen eye you may have picked up that the back door window surrounds have been altered. In this case 38 Plymouth rear door window trim panels could not be located, 37 Plymouth are very similar in profile but a larger window, so I cut down a pair of 37 surounds and tweaked the shape a bit to work on the 38 rear door.  The joint had to be the perfect weld, because they were getting coated in a wood grain, of which the process involved a level of heat that meant no filler what so ever would survive.

This is not a product, it is an example of my metal working skills, applied to car interiors. Priced from.
