Firewall modifications and repairs. In this case on a conventional aftermarket Model A recessed firewall, it was still a little tight around the back of the head and it looked fairly plain.  So to gain that bit of extra clearance space, I hammer and dollied  the bevelled edge to the trans tunnel and a reverse bulge where the left rear head sits closer to the firewall than the right head. Then a couple of swage lines to make it a bit more interesting and stiffen it up.
   
This saved remaking the recess, repositioning the engine, or messing around with short water pumps etc. It allowed a standard reproduction bonnet and radiator to fit nicely and have the proper clearance so we don't get pinged at engineering time.
