Part# KB-AU-Dizzy-St

This distributor replaces the cam trigger that is found on most late model EA to AU Ford overhead cam six cylinder engines so that you can run a conventional coil and leads like on the early sixes.  This dizzy when combined with our AussieSpeed 4 barrel inlet manifold allows you to toss away all the OEM electronics and computer controls and run these late model sixes with just a carburettor like the old days. Perfect for off road racing applications and or retrofitting these engines to early Fords.

This dizzy is a new high energy unit. It runs a hall effect sensor and Bosch amplifier just like all the other Fords so parts are plentiful and easy to obtain at any auto store.  It runs a new Crow Cams gear on the shaft. The advance curve put in this dizzy is a general performace one that siuts a typical street cam. 

Install at 8 to 10 deg for pump fuel or if you are running on LPG then just advance the static timing by another 2 or 3 degrees.

If you are running something a bit more radical just send us your engine specs, the type of gear box you are running and rear diff ratio and we will make a dizzy with a tailored advance curve to suit.

CHANGE OVER UNIT - Note that the cheaper price is for a change over unit only. Order and pay for your new dissy on line and Mail your change over dizzy to Kustom Bitz, Factory 1, 22 Jesmond Road, Croydon VIC 3136 with your name and address on it. When we recieve it we will despatch the new one.

A suitable change over unit is the distributors found in late Ford crossflow XD, XE and XF falcons, Fairmonts and Fairlanes that is the electronic type with a vacuum advance canister.  See photo above for how it looks, note the module plate sticking out from the round body, this along with the vacuum canister is the easy way to pick them.  All others are not suitable.

Note: We modify these distributors with some machining on the base and a new gear becasue EA to AU gear is different and we re work the advance curve to suit a performance cam in an engine with a mild compression ratio.

NO CHANAGE OVER AVAILABLE: We are finding it harder to locate suitable distributors so it can take us some time to do this and we pay between $25-$50 for them when we do find them plus frieght and running around, some we have to go and pull out ourselves, hence we have to pass costs on to you.
